welp, didn't manage to get everything out before season 10 started, but i gotta post it one way or another so here we go! heard there was a fandom swap game going on, wanted to do a couple promts of my own :D

going through some old logs, and I need you to understand just how truly unhinged early 2010s RP omegle was.

genuinely you could stay on there for hours with just one person, hashing out complex traumatic backstories, drawn-out love confessions, detailed action scenes...collaboratively describing graphic violence, past abuse, comfort, hurt/comfort, hurt/no comfort, any number of sex acts...and then one of you would be like, "oh haha it's 2AM! I have to sleep :(" and the other person would say, "omg saaaame. :( gnight!!!" and then you'd exit the chat and never speak to each other again, and this was. fine.

you could just spend an entire evening shoving your wretched, bleeding soul into a chat log with someone you'd never meet or learn the name of, achieve some form of emotional catharsis, and then go about your day or night like this was an average way to spend your time.

i somehow had a dream he got turned into a girl litleo but i wanted to stick with something in the first 4 pokemon gens so i went with skitty :D

roughly my idea is that she meets her own partner pokemon (tbd) and they are recruited into a guild run by my older hero and partner OCs

This 4th of July I’m stealing the patriotism euphoria that’s usually associated with assholes idolizing the worst attributes of this country because fuck ‘em I live here too and remembering the things this country actually got Right is an important exercise when trying to rally anyone to want to defend it in November SO putting my money where my mouth is I’ll start easy and say I really like National Parks!! It’s rad how many of them there are and how they’re actual set up to preserve some of the most beautiful wild areas in our country while still letting people visit to enjoy and experience nature!! (Less important but I love how they put national parks on the quarters I think that’s real fun)

where do you see the romantic element of kris and noelle going in the rest of the snowgrave route? do you think it'll just be dropped or do you think the romance is going to be pushed further?

oh gosh, I try to hold off on speculating too much about where the story is going, so I haven't given those specifics much thought. honestly I have absolutely no clue where snowgrave route is going to go in any respect, but if I had to guess..... I'd say that either it will be pushed further, but little by little and not right away, or player-kris will shift to being creepy in other ways, possibly towards different people. it brings into question what the actual motivation is for how the commands behave in that timeline- is it a fixation on noelle in particular, or is it a violent, desperate bid to break the narrative that she happened to get caught up in? or maybe it began as the latter, but now that noelle's been pulled from her intended path she'll become a focal point for weirdness. I don't think we'll really be able to tell until the story gets a little further in.

me personally, I HOPE the creepy romantic vibe isn't totally dropped, I've put so much thought into it now that would be pretty disappointing, haha. it is still just an interpretation though, based on pretty subtle imagery and what I see as hints, so it could continue to be entirely metatextual or just something inconsequential that I happened to latch onto and isn't really brought up again. but even if so I am completely sure I'll find a way to have fun thinking about it.

How do you go about creating your xeno designs? (Especially octos they're so cute)

How do you decide things like markings/marking placements and such

Also, how would you go about creating a new xeno style species design? (Like cuttlelings or a fanmade species like harelings?)

I can't really answer this without making an unorganized mess of a post but just to try my best: I have my own little guideline I follow when drawing xenos. I still follow canon when it comes to tentacles, masks, and ears. Then I put my own little spin on it.

Inklings have thicker limbs and more flesh tones/less chromatophores the rest of their body, they're rounder and a bit stockier (though even this isn't set in stone because there are diff body types.) i usually color them all the same.

Octolings are stretchier with crowns and non retractable claws. They often have more complicated marking and patterns, a well as more fullbody control over their color. i just do whatever when designing their patterns. Some of my octolings have rings or stripes, and i tend to draw marina with starry patterns.

But really I just go with what I think looks good on that character. or i completely forget traits like having the eye whites show mostly.

I have an idea of what I want for cuttlelings already though. Lots of fins and frills, smaller size, and crazy patterns/colors depending on personality.

I'm not a fan of harelings, salmonlings or sharklings or anything like that. We know what evolved sea slugs look like, based on flow, and I don't think any creature with bones makes sense to be a "-ling". especially. mammals. I'm all for anthro sharks though, similar to what we see in non inkfish band members. But yeah, not interested in the slightest of messing with any non cephalopod shape shifting species. If I were to design any they'd just be. How they appear in game but in my style

Okay I’ll elaborate more whenever I finish the page, but this was essentially my stupid thought involving Megatronus and Solus I mentioned earlier

I’m showing you this because I’m impatient and also I drew the first couple things at work, and coming back now I have different vibes, and it might end up different by the end of it all

I’m also realizing now that the tiny head is way too big, and that’s probably why it’s looked off the whole time I tried to draw it. I’ll have to fix that later. Megatronus also doesn’t look that great either

But anyways, back to the thing itself. Basically my thought was that Solus is a blacksmith, and Megatronus is on fire and kind of looks like a furnace in some iterations. And also of course, Megatron basically being some sort of derivative version of Megatronus, given he named himself after the Prime

So basically, Solus and Megatronus combine their skills to make a bot, and that bot is Megatron. They named him that because he just looks like a smaller Megatronus

This was more cohesive in my head, and also the too large tiny Megs head is really bothering me now. But yes, this was my thought, and I’ll elaborate more some other time

I also attempted some Solus and Megatronus designs. But again, these were at work, so they might need some more tweaking still. Megatronus more than Solus, I mostly like how she looks outside of maybe some color tweaks
